Featuring a temperature-sensitive bi-metal coil, the vent automatically opens at approximately 70°F to facilitate airflow and closes at 40°F to conserve energy and protect pipes from freezing. Constructed from durable, high-density thermoplastic with corrosion-resistant stainless steel components, it fits standard 8-inch by 16-inch openings and provides 65 square inches of net free area. The unit includes heavy-duty aluminum mesh screens on both the front and back to prevent pest infiltration while maintaining long-lasting structural integrity.
