The RACO 8519 is a professional-grade 2-1/2 inch deep steel switch box designed for housing switches or outlets in both residential and commercial electrical systems. This gangable box features integrated non-metallic sheathed cable clamps and adjustable plaster ears, making it an ideal choice for 'old work' or cut-in applications where secure mounting to existing walls is required. Constructed from rugged pre-galvanized steel, it provides a 12.5 cubic inch capacity and includes four cable knockouts on the ends and one 1/2-inch knockout on the bottom. Its modular design allows multiple boxes to be joined together, offering maximum flexibility for multi-gang device installations.
